First Poop

My two year old son had his first poop in the potty today. You simply have to be a parent of young children to find this even remotely appetizing. Unfortunately I was at work for this occasion, tantamount to a report card of straight A's. I got the email, so I gave him a call from the hallway and gave him much love and enthusiasm. It's a great day people!

This post will be the recipient of my ten thousandth visit, and I'd rather celebrate it with good news than with an article inspiring political debate--good natured though it is.

Some of you have been with me from the beginning, like Mr. Schprock and Natalie the Magnetbabe. Others nearly that long, and others it just seems like that long because we are old souls. Thank you all for being my friends. You all inspire me in different ways.

Wow! That's early for a boy! He must be a genius.

Congrats on the milestone.

Woohoo!!! I was going to say what Jaye Wells said. But I think it also helps that he has an older brother to emulate.

Congratulations on this immense achievement!!! (NO SARCASM HERE)

Jaye - I like that idea a lot!

Kat - I know you're being sincere, and thank you very much.

Moni - I almost started dancing right here in the office. Thanks!

Cheryl - Thanks! Gotta be careful, you might start something here. A lot of people would prefer to have Jimmy Walker in charge just now...

Yay! Congratulations! One of my earliest memories is that when I was just starting potty training my mom gave me a miniature Reese's peanutbutter cup whenever I pooed in the pot. I'm not saying you should reward your children with sugar and chocolate for these things... but who knows, they may remember it.

BTW~ I just responded to your comment on my blog...

"appetizing?"
I agree it's wonderful, but...

Congratulations on both counts. And you inspire all of us as well.

Yes, congrats on both counts! I did like magnetbabe's mom, only with froot loops.

Thanks for making my mornings interesting.

after the first poop comes the first flush. I love the sound of little ones that are fresh out of their diapers flushing the toilet--music to my ears!

Hurrah for poop.

It's a proud dad who will sacrifice his blog to the first poop gods. And for that, I commend you.

Congrats on the visit stats.

My nephew announced his first poop to an entire restaurant and a lot of people applauded. Since not having children of my own, I wasn't (at the time) aware of this major parentally shared experience. Congratulations to the little one and good news on the stats.

Hmmm, the last two letters on my verification are bm. LOL
