Check Them Out and Where are They

Not much to report this morning. That's not totally true. I could go in several directions right now, but I've been sleeping for an extra hour lately, unwilling to go to bed before eleven anymore. Maybe I should write posts at night when I should be sleeping. Hey, that's not a bad idea!

Anyway, I'd better do some work. I've been slacking terribly, and it's reflected in my work. Just when I'm getting comfortable with my job, this would be the most ironical time to lose it.

My friends Mr. Schprock and Jaye have entries in Jason's contest, so be sure to stop by and share the love. Both pieces are wonderful, just what you have come to expect from such accomplished writers. Fringes has an entry coming up too, and so too I assume will Rebecca and Flood. But where are they? I'll update when I see them--later today, right?

Scott, thank for the nice words about my story. It was fun to write.

I have a feeling that a lot of people will be sending entries in over the weekend.

I write my posts at night and post-date them. It takes entirely too long in the morning for my mental gears to get moving.

Jaye - I have that same feeling too. The flow has been about five or so a day. The dam will break soon. He had something like sixty plus the last time.

Hey, hey, some of us aren't very fast writers. I can write a first draft in two hours or less, but the rewrites and new drafts can take days (years). I am working on it today and tomorrow. I should post this weekend if I can get it just right.

Running to read Jaye's entry...

You haven't learned to write in your sleep yet? It's a valuable skill. I've been working in my sleep for years.

Trading sleep for internet time is a slippery slope, my friend! LOL. If you have good self control, go ahead but I have found myself on here until 3 am and then I say, "Well, 3 hours of sleep is going to be painful to wake up from. Maybe I should just say up all night." LOL.

As always, Schprock cracks me up. I think I read Schprock's story. The western?

I'm sick. And slacking. I'll probably write mine an hour before the deadline like I did last time. Unless of course, I keel over dead first. I think I have the Black Lung or something equally horrid.
