I decided to enter this one. Since it's a competition, it feels weird to compete against you and Flood and Schprock (among others). Is it weird for you? I'll try not to think about that aspect of it too much. Good luck!
Don't think of it that way. This is about community first. I probably know you today because of the Two Lights contest, where I met Flood and couple others. It would be nice to win, but either way you take something away with you.
I sent mine in last night. I think it's fun that we're all entering. Like you said, Scott, I met a lot of my blogger pals through Two Lights and I look forward to meeting more people.
Jaye - I'm looking forward to your entry, and I'll be sure to give it the love it deserves! Thanks for your support on Jason's site. I can't remember how you and I hooked up. Maybe a Flood interview. Again, indirectly, that's how we met. That's all you need to know about the value of a single contest.
Fringes - It's still nice to win. Don't get me wrong, but the most important aspect of the contest is community. But when the Cowboys and the Texans play each other, the gloves are off!
Nat - You should write something. It would be fun, and you would be good at it. Thanks for giving it a read by the way.
Moni - Cool. I'm really glad you enjoyed it. Thanks.
Jaye - Now that I've read your story, it lives up to the hype and more. It was really cute, and full of sass. As for my comments on Clarity, I decided to have a little fun with it. I'm glad they were received well. Those kinds of comments can backfire.

Great story, by the way.

I feel much better, thanks. I guess I have pennant races and kickoffs on the brain. Those are such winner-take-all mentalities.
Jaye, it is fun that so many are entering.
Good, job Scott. I really liked the imagery. I am not entering, but I think I will go back and lurk some more...
Goodness Scott, that's terrifyingly gripping. Awesome description I felt as though I was there!
Scott, thanks. It always amazes me how fond I become of blogging people I've never met in person--you included.
Hopefully my story will live up to your expectations. It's a little different than my previous entries.
Scott! You're cracking me up over at Clarity with your comments.
Gritty.
I like it. Very dark.
Good imagery
